Field Trip - Museum

After the symphony we went to the Manitoba Museum.When we where in the Museum  Mikayla siaid I shoud  be called, "I needed to see more", because i kept saying that.  It was funny. We went all arouwnd the museum. Our favourite stop was the boat. Then we back at the starte. We whent on a Inuit toer.The inuit toer was fun. Miss.Edel and Miss.Huot's groups  went too. We lerned aobout how inuits use to live. We got to hold a toy kayak. The toy kayka was made of a caraboo skin and the toy sled was made of caribou bones.  We got to use a bone type thing as a drill.We got to play with a toy the you had to get a round bone on a straight bone.  It was fun.  Lots of people got it on but we didn't.  The museum was fun!  By: Hunter and Vikki

Our Field Trip - Symphony

 The symphony was fun. There soug`s were good. Zander `s and Bryce`s favourite soug was hockey night in Canada. Zach`s favourite soug was hockey night in Canada. Collin`s favurite soug was Olympic fanfare. Meadow and Chloe`s favurite soug was the nutcaraker also sjusen likes it also Hunter like it also tieller like it also mrs. Robert like`s it.Vikki`s favurite soug is bout. Ty favurite soug is hockey night in canada. mrs.Johnston`s favurite soug is lezghinka.  Kamryn's favourite was Go the distance.   Mikayla was Le Bateau.  Hockey Night in Canada was Stanton's,  Justin's and  Troy's favourite.  We had a good time. It was ausome.

Geographic Regions

This year we started studying Canada and Mrs.Johnston decided to teach us about geographic regions.
These are the supplies you need flour, Salt, water, paint, tooth picks and paper.
These are the six regions.  Prarie ,  Western cordillera ,  Canadian shield, Arctic, St.Lawrence-Great lakes, and Atlantic. For all of the regions there is different tipe of land.
The bigest region is the Canadian shield,2. Arctic,3. Western cordillera,4. Prairie,5. Atlantic,and 6. St. Lawrence-Great lakes
 1. Atlantic has low mountains and plains,2.Arctic small hills, mountains,glaciers, plains, and islands,3.Prairie grassy prairies, and a zone of mixed woods,4.Western Cordillera there is six mountain ranges,plateaus,meadows,fjorda,valleys, glacial ice fields, boreal forest,  coastan forest.5.St. Lawrence-Great lakes hs plains, hills, steep rise of rock, and forest.6. Canadian shield has ancient rock, and lakes.
We made the land out of dough to look like real land.

Introducing 3-4 J!

Welcome to 3-4 J!

Welcome to our class. We would like to tell you a little bit about our classroom.....
Zach - We have a library in the back of our class with a couch in it.
Kamryn - We have been learning about Canada.
Hunter - We made dough maps of the regions of Canada and painted them.
Rebecca - We have a calendar when we walk in with information.
Justin - We have "chit chat" first thing in the morning on Mondays, we tell about about our weekend.
Sjusen - We have math groups.
Ty - We have an A group and a B group,  one goes to reading groups, the other goes to French after lunch recess.
Vikki - We have Daily 5.
Stanton - We made maple leaves with patterns.
Zander - We have a bullying do and don't list.
Troy - We write in our agendas at the end of the day.
Bryce - We have jobs to do.
Chloe - We have Writer's Workshop when the other grade goes to music.
Collin - During storytime we have snack in the libary.
Meadow - We made a dove peace art.
Nico - I like when we do projects in our class.
Niomi- Is a peer student that helps in our class.
Mrs.  Johnston - Has a great class.
Mrs. Robert - She does math facts and word work groups.
