T.W.A.S. (this week at school)

This week at school we had an artist writing stories with us.  Her name is Margaret Shaw-McKinnon and she is an illustrator and writer.  The books she wrote were Pod the Wood Elf, the Beechnut and Tikalia.  The first day she told us about herself and read Pod The Wood Elf.  She was 18 when she wrote Pod the Wood Elf. The second day we practiced drawing 6 faces that showed emotions.  The emotions were happy, sad, mad, jealous, in love and laughing your head off.  Then we started to brainstorm for our story.  We decided to write an animal story with a horse, a dog and a villain pig.  Each day we wrote and illustrated 1-2 pages of our story.  Each page had a different emotion, for example page 1 was happy, page 2 was sad and so on.  We didn't do jealous.  The last day we made a title page.  Here is our story:

My favourite part is the illustrations used to
tell the story. Lots of thought & teamwork in
writing your story!!
