Colorful Changes

We did an experiment this week.  We put one flower in red water, one flower in blue water and we cut one flower's stem in the middle and put it in both.  We did the same with celery. After 2 days the celery and flower in blue, changed to blue.  The half and half celery changed half reddy-brown and half blue, when we broke the celery in half it looked like there were veins or little wires going through it with the color.  We broke the half and half flower's stem but 3-4E's flower was half pink and half blue.  The red celery changed to pink and the flower was very
light pink.

PS.  We also went on a hike this week to look at plants and animals living in soil and we saw a beaver!!!!  Our teacher was afraid it would bite us!!
 (so was Cadance!!)

Sounds like a fun walk, and pretty exciting to see a beaver! Your science experiment sounds pretty cool too. Learning is fun, isn't it?

Hi Mrs. Johnston's Class,
WOW! Your experiment is really neat. I didn't realize the colour would change that fast. I'm glad the beaver didn't bite you. That was very funny! Keep blogging!
